There are some moments in life in which you have to challenge logic, disregard the environment, refuse to do what is expected of you. One of those moments came in 2012. Against all odds, and with a solid career in the circuit of electronic music behind our backs, we published a book/CD for children called Rolf & Flor. We didn’t know whether this would be feasible or not, because we had no idea how the world of children’s literature or the world of children’s shows worked. We only knew one thing: as parents and musicians we had a responsibility to attend to. That responsibility was to try to explain the world to our daughters through music. The rest is learned with time and patience. And here we are, five years later celebrating the fourth edition of that first volume, which has ended up being the first of a series, with three volumes published and several more to come. We have played for thousands of families, and we have the feeling of having shared a lot of happiness. And we have also harvested it in large quantities: your faces at concerts, your hundreds of messages of encouragement and the continuous gratitude that we feel every time we get on a stage… Thank you, thank you, thank you. We are aware of what Rolf & Flor means to many of you and with that responsibility we continue forward every day.

¿HOW WAS THE PROJECT CONCEIVED?
The CD-book Flor & Rolf arose from a new challenge in the lives of Mr. Furia and Professor Manso: fatherhood. When they both – first Salvador Rey and then Alex Llovet – , had been parents for a while, they began to realise they had a hard time finding good music for kids, especially in Spanish. And after much contem- plation, they started working on some songs that ended up shaping the story of Flor & Rolf. During the process they understood that, besides giving the story some good music, they also could apply the educational values they were trying to transmit to their daughters. For this reason, Flor & Rolf has become not only a beautiful musical story, but also a CELEBRATION OF DIFFERENCE.
